Dr Robin Fackrell graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine, London in 2000 following six years of undergraduate training.

Following his house jobs, he spent a period of time at the John Radcliffe, Oxford in the Emergency Department before moving to Bath to undergo core medical training at the Royal United Hospital. Having developed a strong affinity for holistic and person centred care he then entered into Higher Specialist Training in Geriatric and General Medicine, in the Wessex and Severn deaneries.

Dr Fackrell attained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians in 2004 and went on to be awarded Fellowship in 2010.

During his Higher Specialist Training, he completed his Masters in Healthcare Ethics and Law via the University of Manchester.

He was appointed as a Consultant in General and Geriatric Medicine at the Royal United Hospitals, Bath in 2010 and have fulfilled multiple leadership roles, including Director of the Division of Medicine which he did for a period of four years. As well as his clinical role, he is now an Associate Medical Director for the Bath and Northeast Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board. Dr Fackrell has a wide portfolio in this role including leading on frailty, Hospital at Home and medicines optimisation.
